Frequently Asked QuestionsHere are some frequently asked questions. Prints & MountsWill my print come mounted? Your limited edition print comes mounted with backing board for presentation purposes. The inner mount size is slightly smaller than the actual image size. We use neutral coloured mounts. Your limited edition print is ready to frame. What is a limited edition print? The highest standard in terms of reproduction and quality; produced to match the original painting. The proofing process of each print is time consuming; most subtle of colours and textures have to match the original. Only when the reproduction is perfect will it be hand signed and individually numbered by the artist. Limited edition means that the publisher of the prints will only print a certain number of that particular print. The publisher is also free to publish that image in another format, for example on another product or at another size. What is Giclée printing? The term “Giclée” (zhee-clay) is French, meaning ‘spray’; which perfectly describes this fine art printing process. What paper do we use during reproduction? High quality 190gsm watercolour paper, with a textured surface and the look and feel of fine art paper. The radiant white surface produces vivid colour reproduction; as near to the original watercolour paper used by the artist. Do we produce prints in smaller size? Although we reproduce in smaller sizes, they are not limited edition prints. The smaller size (reduced in scale) is printed using exactly the same printing process. The smaller size of 37cm x 27cm is available to order/upon demand. Do you frame prints? We do have a framing service, but our emphasis is on paintings and prints. We withdraw our framing service at busy times; we use another company for the actual framing. We are very happy to provide you with the frame moulding details should you require them. Examples of the frame moulding we use can be found within photos on this website. What is a Certificate of Authenticity? A certificate of authenticity will add value to any genuine limited edition fine art print. A certificate is sent out with every limited edition print purchased. The certificate will contain specific details about when and how the artwork was produced, the names of the companies involved in production, print title and dimensions of the artwork. Taking care of your print? Please do not place your limited edition fine art print where it will receive prolonged direct sunlight for long and/or for extended periods of time. We cannot be held responsible for fading under these conditions. Delivery, Ordering & ReturnsWhen will my order be delivered?
